I got this puzzle for free, and I wouldn’t have paid for it. The image is, of course, beautiful, but I usually avoid Educa, and especially Educas with large monochrome areas. With Educa, I always find that it’s difficult to know whether a piece belongs or not, and they also have very little variety in piece shape. Well, this turned out to be even worse than usual, ALL the pieces were of the basic shape with two tabs opposite, and, as usual, pieces would fit where they don’t belong. I enjoyed doing everything except the red bits, and then I decided I wasn’t going to ruin Easter by working on a puzzle I no longer enjoyed.

Usually I don’t mind two-knob-two-holes pieces, the new (not really new) puzzle I’m working on is all two-knob-two-hole but those pieces are the absolute worst when it comes to solid areas of color or tricky bits that cover a large area of the puzzle like spindly branchy trees.
I don’t blame you for abandoning it. I would have done the same thing. But probably would have shed some tears first.
You certainly got your money’s worth with that puzzle though 🧩🤣

I certainly did 🙂 In smaller piece counts I find the basic piece shape ok, provided that the image is good, but for anything above 500 pieces I find it annoying that there’s no piece shape variation.
