I managed to finish Himmel. This was so much more difficult than I expected it to be. It became more entertaining towards the end, but somehow, I also expected this to be more fun than it actually was. The image is a painting from 1914-1915 by American modernist Marsden Hartley, who was in Berlin at the time. The title, “Himmel”, is also present in the image, and it’s German for sky or heaven. In this case, it’s should probably be translated as heaven, as there is another word in the painting, Hรถlle, which is German for hell.

This does look like a difficult puzzle due to the limited color palette and abstract shapes. A lone solid blue or solid white piece (etc…) could go in lots of different places in the puzzle. But congrats on finishing it! Hope your next puzzle is entertaining the whole time ๐

Love the colors! It does look like it might be a bit tedious at times though. Of course even after puzzling for years and years I’m still not great at knowing what will be entertaining and what will not. Guess we just have to keep going and find out. ๐

That’s why I sometimes like to do puzzles that don’t look that appealing, they may surprise you, and I love that!

I don’t really do that much, maybe I should try.

I used to do it because I couldn’t afford new puzzles, and we definitely don’t have as many great puzzles available in charity shops as you seem to have in Florida. I basically did anything I could get.
