I’m already certain this will be one of my favourite puzzles of the year. There were lots of funny details and non-standard shaped pieces, and I loved doing a non-rectangular puzzle for a change. For the puzzle challenge I’m doing, this is #15, “a lighthouse”.
There were some great whimsies:
An octopus that likes ice cream!
There were lots of these pink little guys all over the puzzle.
The top. The birds all have little crowns, making them king fishers, I suppose.

You know, I think I read somewhere that Colin Thompson is color blind which makes his art all the more remarkable.
