Poker Face, 2020-12-26

I love this image by Mordillo where the shepherd is playing cards with the sheep. He looks quite confident, too. This was a very fast puzzle, although the tree would have been difficult in a larger piece count.

This was the last of my daily posts in January 2021, and now I will be going back to posting at least every Friday, and mostly on Tuesday as well.

Horizon, 2020-12-06

A vintage F.X. Schmid produced in Germany. It says Made in West Germany on the box, which dates it no later than 1990, but I think it’s from the mid-eighties, or even earlier. The image is stunning, of course, but as I was doing the sky, I did wonder what on earth I was thinking when I bought this. Pretty difficult, but worth it in the end.

Most of the pieces where of the shape with two tabs opposite with the occasional “wavy” backs. These two confused me when I was doing the edges 🙂 All of the tabs had a slightly pointy shape, and the cut reminded me of this puzzle.

Idyll, 2020-11-29

An image by Mordillo with lots of relaxing activities. It was actually a very relaxing puzzle, one of the less busy Mordillo images.

Idyll by Mordillo, Heye, 1000 pieces. Completed on November 29, 2020.

A village surrounded by golfing, fishing and kite-flying. The car on the top of the picture is passing a sign that says Parma, a city in northern Italy that is home to Parmesan cheese and Parma ham.

Landscape painting and a picnic.
