In retrospect, I probably shouldn’t have bought this puzzle, there is far too much vegetation. It did help that much of it was colourful, but still not my favourite image. This was a basic Trefl, where you have to watch out for false fits. The pieces also had some really sharp edges, to the point where I think my fingers would be sore if I did many of these in a row.
A puzzle from the Trefl Cosmic Alchemy series. It is also part of the Trefl Unlimited Fit line, which is a bit more expensive that the basic Trefl puzzles. Apparently, you can remove the edges and combine puzzles in this series to larger puzzles. I’m not sure if the cut is completely identical (I think it probably is), or if it’s just identical around the edges.
Anyway, this was my first Unlimited Fit puzzle, and I was impressed with the quality. It was much better than the basic Trefl, the pieces were sturdier, and the cut was much better. There were no false fits. I also enjoyed the image, and this came together a lot faster than I had expected.
This is the first I’ve done from a Schmidt series with camping images, and it was lovely. I have a few more of these, and they all look great.
I seem to really enjoy mushroom puzzles, but that is the only form in which I enjoy mushrooms. This was a lovely puzzle, very enjoyable.
The puzzle had a glow in the dark effect, but it’s difficult to get a good photo of that. My camera realizes when it’s dark, and takes a lot longer for the photo, making in a bit fuzzy. I still really like the way it turned out:
This is the box image of the Vampire Castle 759-piece Exit/Escape puzzle, and it also made for a great puzzle. As far as I know, this is the only image from the Exit/Escape series to turn up as a regular puzzle, and it’s a good choice. I’ve also done the mystery puzzle, and I enjoyed that as well.
I’m not usually fond of underwater images, for some reason, but I really liked this. Fun and easy!

This was so much fun that I stayed up until 3 A.M. working on it when I definitely should have been sleeping. While I have little interest in clothes and consider high heels more an instrument of torture than footwear, they do make for an entertaining puzzle 🙂
I haven’t done a map in a long time, and this was a fairly easy one. The colours helped, obviously. I did the text first, but then I turned to the map, and the images on and around the map after that. The edges were last, because of the border.
I was afraid this was going to be a bit too dark, but it was fine. The quality was, as always with Schmidt, excellent. The rigging of the ship turned out to be the most difficult part, and the sky was the easiest.
