This was mostly enjoyable, although the old Educa problem of pieces fitting where they don’t belong was definitely present. The image is great, though! I also managed to lose one piece (at the far end of the table).

I don’t usually get Falcon puzzles, I once had a horrible experience with a 3000-piece puzzle where any piece would fit anywhere, but this was a gift. It ended up being quite enjoyable, although I could tell that with another image it could have been quite hard. Falcon belongs on the list of brands that I only get if there are no large areas of one colour.

Vintage travel ads always make great puzzles, and this was very nice.

A great puzzle with a cruise ship by Swedish artist Anders Lyon. Since the artist is Swedish, it is practically certain that this is partly modelled on the ships that sail between Stockholm and Helsinki every night. It would be difficult to find a Finn who was never on one of these, and they’re popular in Sweden as well. In fact, there was a very popular Swedish drama series set on one such ship in the 90s. The ship in the puzzle is called the M/S Scandalia, and it’s flying the Swedish flag 🙂
Today, I’ll be boarding a ship called M/S Gabriella, and tomorrow me and my car will be back in Helsinki. Notice the cars on the lower levels on Scandalia 🙂

I loved this puzzle, and look forward to more Anders Lyon images.
I started one more puzzle in Dortmund, where it will be waiting for my return. Today I’m heading back north with my car, and in a few days I should be back in Helsinki. Again, I’ve set it up so that there’s a post with an old puzzle photo every day.
This is an interesting image, but the red part is going to be tough. The title is given in French only on the box, but Epanouissement coloré should mean Colourful Blossoming (thank you, Google). It’s a 1500-piece Grafika.

On the box, the artists are given as Anne Poiré & Patrick Guallino, but the signature on the image makes it look like one person.

I bought this because I’ve found I like images with water. And I did enjoy the water, but then, unfortunately, I also had to do the forest 🙂 OK, it wasn’t too bad, but definitely took a lot longer than the average 1000 piece puzzle that I do.

So, I wasn’t supposed to order any puzzles this summer, but then I saw that “And the Winner Is …” by Susan Brabeau is available again (first in the second row). I’ve wanted this for a long time, but it’s been out of stock for a while now. There was also Gibsons version of this, but that was out of stock as well. There was a sale on Sunsout puzzles, so I grabbed a few more Brabeaus, and some other stuff as well …

Thoroughly enjoyable puzzle. It was one of those where there are no difficult areas, the level of difficulty is the same from start to finish. It was one of the easiest 1500-piece puzzles I’ve done.

Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that new Ravensburger puzzles (this is from 2017) have more and more pieces where the layers have separated on one tab. These are just two examples, there were many more.

This is silly, but I just had to get this puzzle because I love the way the water is drawn here 🙂 I’m not up for the enormous Disney moments-puzzle, but I have some of the small, individual ones. I liked this as a 1000 piece puzzle, but it would be really difficult as 4000 pieces.

I started on this Dominic Davison-puzzle, and it’s turning out to be just as entertaining as expected. I did the sky first, and I think I’ll do the cobblestones in the foreground next.
