Feline Frenzy, 2019-06-16

I’ve never been a big fan of Gibsons, but every now and then an image is so good that I cave and buy one anyway. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised this time, there was no sign of the old problem of pieces fitting where they don’t belong. It may just be the image, of course, but I don’t think so. Based on this I would even be prepared to try an image with a large area of the same colour. Still not a fan of the waxy finish, but that’s a minor quibble.

I loved this puzzle, it was fun from start to finish.

There’s also a dog in there among the cats.

1970s Sweet Memories, 2012-05-23

I’m not a huge fan of Gibsons,  pieces fit where they don’t belong far too often, but they have some really great collages, and every now and then I cave and buy one anyway.

I know some of these, Mars looks exactly like it does now (although Bounty has changed dramatically), but most are unknown to me. Even with this image, I needed to stay alert so as not to place pieces wrong.

King Tut, 2009-01-24

One more Egyptian themed puzzle.

I think you can see Howard Carter by the sarcophagus of Tutanchamum below on the right.

This is one of only two Gibsons puzzles I’ve completed, and in both cases, I found that pieces fit where they don’t belong. Otherwise, the quality was good, with thick pieces and great colours. The finish is waxy, which I don’t much like.
