Moonlight Mushrooms, 2025-07-10

I seem to really enjoy mushroom puzzles, but that is the only form in which I enjoy mushrooms. This was a lovely puzzle, very enjoyable.

Moonlight Mushrooms by Alexander Jung, Ravensburger, 500 pieces. Completed on July 10, 2025.

The puzzle had a glow in the dark effect, but it’s difficult to get a good photo of that. My camera realizes when it’s dark, and takes a lot longer for the photo, making in a bit fuzzy. I still really like the way it turned out:

Vampires Castle, 2025-07-07

This is the box image of the Vampire Castle 759-piece Exit/Escape puzzle, and it also made for a great puzzle. As far as I know, this is the only image from the Exit/Escape series to turn up as a regular puzzle, and it’s a good choice. I’ve also done the mystery puzzle, and I enjoyed that as well.

The Coveted Closet, 2025-06-28

This was so much fun that I stayed up until 3 A.M. working on it when I definitely should have been sleeping. While I have little interest in clothes and consider high heels more an instrument of torture than footwear, they do make for an entertaining puzzle 🙂

The Coveted Closet, Ravensburger, 1000 palaa. Completed on June 28, 2025.

The Four Seasons, 2025-06-17

I really enjoyed the random cut after doing a puzzle where all pieces had the same basic shape. Even though there’s a border of sorts, I started with the edges, then did the top and bottom, and finally filled in the ladies that represent the seasons.

I wonder why the seasons are in the wrong order /

The Story of Impressionism, 2025-06-14

The image is lovely, with lots of paintings that I recognize, and probably even more that I don’t, but unfortunately the cut was not only boring (all pieces of the same basic shape), but also full of false fits. I had several in the sky part, although it’s a very small sky. I still enjoyed it, but with better quality this could have been a great puzzle.

The Story of Impressionism, Laurence King Publishing, 1000 pieces. Completed on June 14, 2025.

Here is The Oarsmen’s Breakfast by Renoir, and I’ve done this as a puzzle.
