This was my first Elena Essex puzzle, and I found the quality to be fine, but not exceptional. There were no false fits, but the fit could have been better. There was a good mix of piece shapes, and overall, I absolutely loved this puzzle.
I had a closer look at the books, and it seems the artist likes fairytales, ornitology, and spells:
Back to the Circle of Color puzzles, and I think this is my favourite so far.
This was the last Peliko puzzle in my to-do pile, and I don’t think I’ll be getting any more of them any time soon. While I was spreading out the pieces, I felt optimistic, the pieces felt better than usual, but then I had a lot of trouble of the false fit kind with the yellow wall in the top left corner even though it’s a small area. The image was fairly easy, of course, and it was mostly a pleasant experience, but still, it would have to be a pretty terrific image for me to consider another Peliko puzzle.
Another Circle of Colors puzzle. I really love these!
A puzzle from the Ravensburger Circle of Colors series. I tend to start these puzzles from the middle and do the edges last, and this was no exception.
A bit too dark, but still nice, and with only 500 pieces, it wasn’t too difficult.
This image was pretty challenging, and the puzzle took quite a while to finish. Fortunately, the cur was very good, and there were no false fits, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to complete it, and that would have been a shame, as it was a gift from a friend who spends her summer vacations in the Åland islands.
I started this puzzle back in May in Dortmund, and then didn’t get back until August. There were only a few hundred pieces left when I had to leave it, so it didn’t take that long to finish. The image was really difficult, after I had spread out all the pieces, it seemed that most of them had some red white and blue on them. Fortunately, this was a very good cut from Tactic (doesn’t happen often), with very distinct piece shapes and no false fits, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to finish this.
On this trip, I also found a puzzle piece among the clothes in my cabinet. I tentatively identified it as an Educa piece, and had no problems finding the puzzle it was missing from in my database. It’s from this puzzle, and the piece has been missing since 2018 😀 I no longer have the puzzle, I passed it on soon after completing it.
Wonderful puzzle, and much better quality than I expected. It does say Premium Plus Quality on the box, and it was more expensive than the usual Trefl puzzles, and I can confirm that both the pieces and the cut are clearly superior. Absolutely nothing to complain about here.
This was nice! An installment in the Hey Take a Trip-series done in the style of Hieronymus Bosch. It doesn’t actually say on the box who did this, but I’m pretty sure it’s Marino Degano.
