Exit / Escape Puzzle SPOILERS

On this page there are spoilers for the Ravensbuger Exit / Escape (I think it’s Exit in German-speaking areas and Escape in English speaking areas) series that are valid for the entire series. Photos of finished puzzles and discussion of solutions can be found on the dedicated spoiler page for some of the puzzles. See links below.

The spoilers on this page are hidden with an HTML-element called details, but this only works in certain browsers, like Chrome and Firefox, but NOT in Explorer or Edge. Opera and Safari should be OK, but I’ve not tested them. There are no details-tags on the pages for individual puzzles.

Some points that apply to all puzzles in the series (will update if I find later puzzles work differently):

  1. The box should contain a booklet with instructions and an envelope with the final solution. If you bought the puzzle used and some of this is missing, contact me and I’ll send photos. Please always include the name of the puzzle when asking for photos.
  2. Do NOT try to do the edges first. Do the edges last, and even then pay close attention.
    Click to find out why

The reason for this is that the final solution of the puzzle requires you to identify certain edge pieces and put them together to form something new, and that means that the pieces are designed to be put together in two ways. It also seems to mean that edge pieces fit pretty much anywhere.

  3. After you’ve completed the jigsaw puzzle, it’s time to look for puzzles in the image. There are 6-8 puzzles to find, and the answer is always a number.
Click to find out what the numbers refer to:

The numbers refer to edge pieces, which have the corresponding numbers.

  4. Among the puzzle pieces, there are small, rectangular pieces of puzzle cardboard that are not part of the puzzle.

LINKS TO THE SPOILER PAGES FOR INDIVIDUAL PUZZLES:

Some newer Exit / Escape puzzles have 368 pieces instead of 759. They work exactly the same as the 759-piece puzzles, and the finished puzzles are just as big – only the pieces are twice as large. I have to say, I prefer the 759-piece ones, more jigsaw puzzle and less math.  I won’t be providing invidual spoiler pages for these 368-piece puzzles, but I can still send photos of the instructions and solution envelopes for the following puzzles:

Greenhouse / Gewächshaus

From a comment on this post I learned that there are two versions of this puzzle, and in at lest some cases Ravensburger has gotten them mixed up, so that not all of the solution pieces are present in the puzzle. If you happen to get one like this, please contact Ravensburger, I’m sure they’ll provide you with a replacement.
